The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation offers a master’s-level education in property-casualty insurance, providing both industry expertise and leadership training. The program requires the successful completion of eight tested courses and typically takes two years to finish.
Industry-wide, only 4 percent of insurance professionals hold a CPCU. At Schauer Group, more than 20 percent of the team has achieved this credential.
Abbey started as an intern with Schauer Group in 2019 and joined the team full-time after earning a bachelor’s degree in business management from Kent State University at Stark. In addition to her CPCU, Abbey also holds a Certified Insurance Service Representative designation. She is a graduate of the Leadership Stark County Spotlight for Young Professionals program and serves as the secretary for the board of trustees for Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve.
