Family fund makes gift to CommQuest Services

The Schauer Family Fund is making a three-year gift to CommQuest to help fund mental health, addiction recovery, and social support services in the region.

The fund’s gift to CommQuest will go toward the nonprofit’s ongoing $7 million facilities investment project, which is creating expanded Canton and Massillon campuses for improved client care; bringing trauma-sensitive improvements to all facilities; and supporting other needed repairs at existing buildings.

CommQuest is the largest behavioral health organization in Stark and Carroll counties and serves thousands of Northeast Ohio clients each year. The nonprofit offers both outpatient and residential services across 10 locations.

“The Schauer family’s generosity will directly help our clients and their families, as we expand and improve services on our regional recovery campus in Massillon,” said Elaine Russell Reolfi, CommQuest CEO. “We are grateful for their commitment to our community, and especially the most vulnerable among us. They give their time and expertise and now this tremendous financial support that makes our community stronger.”

In addition to the gift that’s being made to CommQuest from the Schauer Family Fund, the team at Schauer Group also is working in partnership with CommQuest. Aimee Belden, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Schauer Group, serves as the chair of CommQuest’s board of directors and plays a key role in guiding the direction of the organization and helping advance its mission.

“One of our core values at Schauer Group is commitment, and that includes commitment to the communities where our associates live and work,” Belden said. “We know demand for mental health and addiction services has drastically increased in recent years, and we are dedicated to supporting the work that is being done to address this critical community need.”
