Schauer Group, the region’s leading risk management, business insurance and human capital services firm, is celebrating 100 years in business. In celebration of this milestone, Schauer has pledged a $150,000 gift to Aultman’s Timken Family Cancer Center.
“The need for our community to have access to advanced clinical care has never been so important,” said Joe Schauer, vice president of Schauer Group and member of the Aultman Capital Campaign Cabinet. “Aultman has a longstanding history of supporting our region and this new cancer center will provide access to superior health care for Stark and surrounding counties.”
40% of all Americans will be diagnosed with cancer at some point in their life. Aultman currently diagnoses and treats over 4,000 cancer patients each year; 45% more than any other hospital in our region. The new cancer center will allow Aultman to expand cancer care to reach even further.
The capital campaign funds will create a new, modernized 77,600-square-foot comprehensive Cancer Center, offering advanced clinical care and improved patient and family experience. The $28M capital campaign is in its early stages and will seek funding through 2022.
“It was important to us to be an early supporter of the new Timken Family Cancer Center. Our hope is that other, likeminded organizations will join us in investing in our community’s future,” said Schauer.

The donation to Aultman’s Timken Family Cancer Center is the first in a series of 100th anniversary activities that Schauer Group has planned in the region for this year, and other initiatives will be announced in the near future.
